3.1 WebTrac Auto Debit Update doesn't work and times out when using CardConnect as the CCard Gateway
Problem
We're using CardConnect as our Credit Card solution. Patrons using WebTrac tell us that the auto-debit card update screen doesn't work. The page spins and constantly refreshes.
Solution
Ensure you have valid data in the e-Commerce group on your CardConnect Credit Card profile. At a minimum, you need the Payment URL, the Site Name, and the RSA Encrypted Key. If you do not know what information to enter in those fields, then contact CardConnect for guidance. VSI cannot supply this information.
CardConnect does not differentiate between Account Types, so you can select 'Normal Retail' in the Account Type field on your Credit Card profile and still use it for WebTrac and/or Installment Billing transactions. In other words, you can leave the field at its default setting, and it will still work. Even though you can do this, VSI strongly recommends making the proper selection in this field.
However, if you choose 'Normal Retail' as the Account Type for your CardConnect Credit Card profile(s), and CardConnect provides you with e-Commerce information for your Account(s), then be sure to enter that data in the e-Commerce group. Without that information on your profile, you cannot successfully process e-Commerce transactions.
