10.3 and 3.1 Ingenico ISC250 down- Card Connect
Problem
Our Credit Card System is down at the golf course. Our ISC250 Pin Pad thinks it is 'in use,' so I cant take credit cards. We restarted VIC, and the ISC250 shows the normal company name. But when we click the POS quick button for credit card, a little window pops up and says Pin Pad is in use.
For Kbase: big part here is the message they get on the ISC250: Pin Pad is in use.
Solution
Ensure there is no open session running that has connection to the ISC250.
CardConnect doesn't have a timeout setting, so transactions can sit in an 'In Cart/In Process status' indefinitely if clerks leave a session open and walk away from the computer. In this event, the next user who tries to use that pin pad will get the 'Pin pad is in use' message. The open session must be closed in order to release the pin pad.
