3.1 CardConnect - WebHook Failed or cf_hidden_sessionid hidden field was not added to the HPPV2 Design
Problem
After transitioning from CardConnect HPPv1 to HPPv2, we have occassionally seen emails with this subject go to our RecTrac Administrator. What does it mean?
WebTrac-CardConnect - WEBHOOK FAILED OR cf_hidden_sessionid HIDDEN FIELD WAS NOT ADDED TO THE HPPV2 DESIGN To: The WebTrac credit card transaction was authorized but the details of the transaction did not get returned to WebTrac from CardConnect. The communication via the Webhookdefined in the CardConnect portal is either invalid or blocked or the design of thepayment page in the CardConnect portal is missing the cf_hidden_sessionid element. This issue must be resolved. Receipt Number: 843621 Clerk: WWW - WebTrac User Date: 11/27/2019 Time: 10:59 am Reference #: 129377 Inquiry Service Used: Yes Version: 3.1.1
Solution
Depending on the frequency of the email there may not be a concern or a resolution.
Steps for Resolution:
That email was put in for the RecTrac admin and VSI development in the event that a web transaction didn't post back in the normal process.
It typically isn't an issue unless you get two emails for the same transaction number.
As the HPPv2 interface matures, we will be reducing the emails that you as a RecTrac admin receive for CC transactions. If you get these emails on every transaction or in bunches, it would be good for VSI support to investigate, but if you only see them a few times per week then likely no need for concern.
If this is the first one you have received, you may just want to verify that the sale completed in CardConnect and RecTrac. If they did, you can ignore and as new builds are adjusted to anticipate the communication responses in HPPv2, you should see fewer and fewer emails.
