10.3 and 3.1 Increasing the CardConnect IP threshold limit for transactions in a time period
Default Subject
Information
By default, CardConnect limits the number of transaction requests processed to 15 in a 30-minute time frame from the same IP address. For Vermont Systems customers, CardConnect recommends setting this value to '400' for day-to-day operations. This value can be set to a higher number to accommodate known periods of increased activity, such as a large registration. Here's how.
- Login to the Card Connect HPPv2 portal.
- Go to the Setup Tab Set Velocity Attack Threshold.
- Set the value to something above 400. For example, 800. This is dependent on your preference.
- Make sure the Velocity Attack Threshold Method is set to "IP Address Based."
- Save your changes and exit the portal.
- When the registration period ends, repeat these steps to reset the threshold to 400.
Note: You can set the threshold value to zero (0), which effectively turns the threshold off. CardConnect does not recommend this.
