Problem
Our Pass Snap Shot has not been running nightly like it did in the past. I am not sure how long it hasn't been running but it has forced me to run it manually on a semi-regular almost daily basis. How can we fix this event to run automatically again?
Solution
You can verify your scheduled events settings from Scheduled Events Management or if necessary reschedule your Pass Snap Shot using the Pass Snap Shot Post utility.
Note:
If none of your scheduled events are running check to see if your event timer is running. You may need Admin server access. See Also: Event Timer Reset
Steps For Solution
To verify your Schedule Event is running properly:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Scheduled Events Management.
- Set the Scheduled Program DataGrid filter to Contains.
- Filter the Scheduled Program column by PMSnapShotPost.
- Highlight the PMSnapShotPost event from the DataGrid.
- If you do not see this event continue to the steps below to reschedule the event.
- Click Change Event.
- Verify the settings on the Schedule Generator.
- For Example: Your End Date may have passed or you may not have the proper selection in the Month, Weekdays, or Time fields.
- You may not need to make any changes, however, clicking Save should restart the scheduled event.
To reschedule the Pass Snap Shot Post:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Pass Snap Shot Post.
- Select Use Pass Range.
- Set Posting Date = Today/ 0.
- Click Schedule.
- Name the event.
- Set Begin Date to the current date.
- Set End Date way out in the future, i.e. 2050.
- Select all 12 months.
- Select all 7 weekdays.
- Set Time Option to Fixed Time.
- Set the Time to something outside business hours, approximately 12:15 or 12:20 AM.
- Add an email to Email 'To' Address When Event Completes to be notified every time this event runs successfully.
- Click Save.
Your Pass Snap Shot should now run automatically based on the schedule information you entered above.
