Problem
We're running 3.1 and need to print some unsold tickets. 10.3 has a Bulk Unsold Serialized Ticket Print program. Is there a 3.1 version?
Solution
Yes. It is the same program in 3.1 with some variations form the 10.3 version.
The Bulk Unsold Ticket Print is used to print unsold POS Tickets, either serialized or non-serialized. This program allows you to select active or inactive tickets.
Before running this program, please note the following important limitations:
- This program DOES NOT update the Ticket Status, meaning you can still sell (and print) unsold tickets from RecTrac after they have been printed here.
- This program WILL NOT update the 'Ticket Printed' flag, either, because that field exists on the POS History table, and no history exists for these tickets because they have not been sold. Tickets, therefore, can be printed many times over.
- If your Template includes Household/Family Member fields (Household First/Last Name, for example), then that information will not print on the Tickets using this program. Since the tickets were not sold, there is no household information to print.
- The same is true for any POS History fields on your Template.
To Run the Bulk Unsold Ticket Print Program
-
Ensure you have a valid Template linked to your Ticket Code in Ticket Management.
- The Template MUST be a POS Ticket Record Type.
- The Ticket Template MUST be linked in POS Ticket Update Access Ticket Settings group Ticket Template RecTrac field.
- Search for and go to the Bulk Unsold Ticket Print program.
- Select the Tickets you wish to print. You may use any combination of DataGrid, Range, Ticket Categories, Types, and Sub-Types.
- Determine whether you wish to print Active Tickets, Inactive Tickets or both. At least one of these options needs to be selected.
- Click Process. The program runs on the AppServer. The Notification Center will alert you when the process completes and a .pdf preview will appear showing the tickets that have been printed.
- Optional: Go to the Document Center to print the tickets, if desired. File Name=Bulk Unsold Ticket Printyyyymmdd-xxxxx.pdf, where yyyymmmdd is 'today's' date and xxxxx is a random character string.
