Emailing Receipts to Multiple Recipients in same Household in RecTrac 3.1
Problem
Is there any way that the system will automatically e-mail receipts to two addresses? Right now it is defaulted to only send to one e-mail address. However, we have quite a few instances where multiple parents need to be e-mailed the receipt. Please advise.
Solution
The quick answer is, 'No, but.'
By default, the system includes only the email address of the Primary Member of the household linked to a transaction. However, you can have receipts sent to additional email addresses, if needed. This must be done manually.
To include a second (or 3rd or 4th, etc) email address, simply click the Combo Box icon in the Email Address(es) field and either select a second address from the list that appears or select the --Enter a freeform email address-- option.
If opting to use a free form address, enter the email address in the field that appears. To enter multiple addresses in that field, separate each address by a comma with no space. Additionally, users running RecTrac 3.1.07.01 (or greater) have the option to Add Freeform Email Address(es) to Household. Use the 'i' Help icon for field definitions and examples, as needed.
Settings on the Payment/Refund screen are never memorized. When opting to emailing receipts to multiple recipients, you must perform the manual steps described above for each receipt for a given household. This is a known limitation at this time.
