Default Subject
Problem
The "Pop Cash Drawer" button can be used to open the cash drawer when there is no transaction. Is there a report that can be run to show when and who is using it?
Solution
Yes, using the the "Pop Cash Drawer" button (often found on Touch POS or Global Sales screens) is an audited event. You can use the Audit Log Inquiry program and the Audit Log Report to track usage of that button.
Steps For Solution
Audit Log Inquiry
- Open the Audit Log by searching for it in the menu, or navigating to Inquiry > Audit Log Inquiry.
- In the Source filter of the audit log, enter "Pop Cash Drawer" (without quotes). If you get no results, make sure your filter is set to "Equals" or "Contains" and then try again.
- This search will provide your results of who and when the Pop Cash Drawer button was used./li>
