Displaying WebTrac Graphical Images on WebTrac
RecTrac 3.1.3.1.10.17.02
Problem
I have imported my rental campsite maps image into the WebTrac Graphical Management menu and linked the layer to the rental item. Yet, the image doesn't display on WebTrac.
Solution
If you can view the image in RecTrac but not in WebTrac, the image likely is not uploaded in the WEB/Images subfolder on the WebServer.
For Example: You have saved a hand-drawn map of the Trout Brook campground's RV, tent, and cabin spots as a Campgrounds.png file.
1. Prerequisite – Copying File to Server's Images Folder:
Prior to using the image, it must reside in the RecTrac server's Images path. When using the default installation path, the images MUST be stored on your server in: X:\VSI3\RecTrac\WebServer\GUI\images\. Ask your organization's IT for help copying the file.
2. File resides within the Images folder (and NOT a subfolder):
Enter the following into the Layer Image field within RecTrac: Campgrounds.png without the location as it resides directly within the server's Images folder.
3. File resides within a subfolder to the Images folder:
Enter: Camp/Campgrounds.png to specify the subfolder, image filename and file extension.
Once you have confirmed that the image is properly uploaded in the RecTrac server's image path, copy that same image and paste it in this file path: X:\VSI3\RecTrac\WebServer\WEB\images\
Similar to how we link images in the GUI folder on the WebServer, store your images in the same location in the WEB folder (i.e. storing the images in both Images subfolders in WEB and GUI folders).
**Acceptable File Formats include, .pdf, jpg, .gif and .png**
Steps For Solution
- Copy the relevant image to the clipboard.
- Follow the file path to the Images subfolder in the WEB folder (X:\VSI3\RecTrac\WebServer\WEB\images\).
- Paste the image.
- Refresh both RecTrac and WebTrac interfaces.
- You may also have to run the WebTracGraphicalBuilder event in the Scheduled Events Management menu in the RecTrac interface if refreshing doesn't work the first time.
Images should now display under the "graphical" display option as long as they are linked to the module item.
